Location:
By Car: Travel north from Nanaimo on Highway 19
for 43 kilometers (26 miles). Take exit 4 onto Highway 4 known as
the Pacific Rim Highway. Travel west on Highway 4 for 156 kms (97 miles)
passing through Port Alberni, and beside Sproat and Kenedey Lakes. Check
your gas levels in Port Alberni as there are few gas stations before
reaching Tofino. Travel west until reaching the junction between Tofino
and Uclulet. Turn right toward Tofino. After passing through the Pacific
Rim National Park for 29 kms (20 miles) you will notice a sign on
your left called Pacific Sands Resort. Turn left exactly 0.8 kms (or 0.5
miles) past Pacific Sands. This road is called
Craig Road and is the second entrance to Rosie Bay. The Chesterman Beach
Home is located at 860 Craig Road. Unit #20. Parking is directly beside
the unit. The town of Tofino is a 5 min. drive further north.
